Media Library

The media library is your central hub for all uploaded photos and files. You can upload from here, organize into folders, use AI to analyze images, and select media anywhere a photo is needed across Picket.

Accessing the Media Library

Go to Settings > Media in the admin sidebar. You’ll see a grid of all your uploaded media, sorted by most recent.

Uploading Files

Drag and drop — Drag image files from your computer directly onto the media library. You can drop multiple files at once.

Browse — Click the Upload button to open a file picker.

Supported formats: JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF, SVG

Maximum file size: 20MB per file. Larger images are automatically optimized on upload.

Organizing with Folders

Create folders to keep your media organized by type:

• Products — Product photos by category
• Farm — Farm scenery, growing fields, team photos
• Events — Farmers market, workshops, pop-up shops
• Blog / Press — Images for blog posts or press coverage

To create a folder, click New Folder, name it, and drag media into it. Click any folder to view its contents.

AI Image Analysis

Every photo you upload can be analyzed by Picket’s AI (powered by Claude) to automatically generate:

• Alt text — Descriptive text for screen readers and SEO
• Suggested description — A paragraph describing what’s in the image, useful for product descriptions
• Tags — Keywords that appear in search, like “dahlia,” “pink,” “bouquet,” “outdoor”
• Color palette — The dominant colors extracted from the image

Running an Analysis

1. Click on any image in the media library to open it.
2. Click Analyze with AI.
3. Wait a few seconds for the analysis to complete.
4. Review the results and use them wherever helpful.

The AI is particularly good at identifying flower varieties, arrangement styles, and visual qualities — much faster than writing descriptions from scratch.

Automatic Analysis

New uploads are automatically queued for AI analysis in the background. You don’t have to manually trigger it — just upload and check back a few minutes later.

Using Media in Your Store

In Products

When creating or editing a product, click Add Photo in the Photos section to open the media picker. Browse your library, select a photo, and it’s added to the product.

In the Page Builder

When editing any block that uses an image (Hero, Image, Gallery, etc.), click the image placeholder to open the media picker. Browse, search, and select.

In Settings

For your logo, hero image, and category images, you’ll use the same media picker.

Searching Media

Use the search bar at the top of the media library to find images by:

• File name — The original filename you uploaded
• AI tags — If the image has been analyzed, search by tag (e.g., “dahlia,” “arrangement”)
• Description — Terms from the AI-generated description

Storage Limits

Your storage limit depends on your Picket plan:

• Free plan — 10 GB
• Standard plan — 25 GB
• Pro plan — Unlimited

You can see your current storage usage at the top of the media library.

Deleting Media

Select files you want to delete using the checkboxes, then click Delete Selected.

Before deleting: Check whether the image is used in any products or pages. Deleting a photo removes it from every product listing and page that referenced it — this can break your storefront layout if you’re not careful.

To find where an image is used, open it and look for the Used in section which lists any products or pages referencing that file.

Tips for Good Media Management

Be consistent. Decide on standard dimensions for product photos (e.g., 800×800px square) and stick with them. Consistent photo sizes make your shop look more polished.

Name files before uploading. “dahlia-sunset-bouquet.jpg” is searchable. “IMG_4821.JPG” is not.

Keep your library lean. Delete old test uploads, duplicates, and outdated photos regularly. A clean library is easier to navigate and saves storage space.
