Why I Built Picket
I'm Eric, and this all started watching my wife Alana run Brookfield Blooms, a flower farm in Baltimore. She spent an inordinate amount of time juggling Square invoices, updating spreadsheets, and manually syncing email lists — time that should have gone to growing.
Small growers needed a platform built for the way they actually sell — not another generic storefront with plugins bolted on.
So I started building — subscription management, delivery zone logistics, seasonal inventory — one feature at a time, shaped by what Alana actually needed each week.
