Picket has three plans: Free, Standard ($49/month), and Pro ($99/month). Here’s how to think about each one and when to upgrade.

All plans have the same core features — the differences are in limits and the service fee.

The Free Plan

The Free plan is a real, fully-functional storefront — not a trial or a watered-down preview. You can use it to run a small farm business indefinitely.

The trade-off is the 2% service fee on every order. Picket takes 2% of each order’s subtotal as a fee for providing the platform.

Who it’s right for: New farms just getting started, farms doing less than ~$2,500/month in revenue, or any farm that wants to try Picket before committing to a subscription.

The Standard Plan ($49/month)

Standard eliminates the service fee and expands all limits. At $49/month flat, you keep the full margin from every order.

The math: The 2% service fee on the Free plan equals $49/month when your monthly revenue hits $2,450. Above that level, Standard is actually cheaper than Free — you’re saving money on the subscription.

Who it’s right for: Farms bringing in more than ~$2,500/month in orders, farms that want more than 15 products or 1 delivery zone, and farms that want to remove the “Powered by Picket” badge from their storefront.

The Pro Plan ($99/month)

Pro is for farms that have outgrown Standard’s limits — more than 30 products, more than 100 orders per month, more than 3 subscription plans, etc.

Who it’s right for: Established farms with high order volume, multi-CSA operations, farms with large catalogs or multiple growing sites.

Card Processing Fees

All plans pay Stripe’s standard card processing fee: 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction. This is Stripe’s fee — not Picket’s — and applies regardless of your plan. It’s the cost of accepting credit and debit cards online (the same rate Shopify, Square, and all other e-commerce platforms pay Stripe).

Picket passes this through at cost with no markup.

What Happens When You Hit a Limit

If you try to create a 16th product on the Free plan, Picket will show you a message explaining you’ve hit your plan’s product limit and offer to upgrade. Your existing products remain untouched — you just can’t create new ones until you upgrade or archive an existing one.

The same applies to all other limits: you’re never cut off from existing data, just prevented from creating new items above the limit.
